About us

Local and purposefully independent, we have been providing vet services in the North Somerset area since 1979, and now have practices in Yatton, Nailsea and Portishead. The practice is owned and run by Steve Tasker and Holly Charlton. Steve shared the partnership with Liz Watkins until her retirement in 2018 and introduced Holly as a co-owner shortly afterwards. Impelled by continued improvement to our facilities and service, and backed by a fantastic team, we’re dedicated to providing the best possible healthcare for our clients’ beloved pets.

With surgeries in Portishead, Nailsea and Yatton, Watkins and Tasker Vets provide a local and convenient service in tandem with state-of-the-art equipment and excellent surgical and medical facilities. All this though would be meaningless if we didn’t have brilliant, caring people around to take care of both our clients and their pets. Fortunately this is exactly what we do have.

Our vets, clinical staff, nurses and administrative team understand the extraordinary bond between owner and pet. The love and affection they feel for their animal and the desire to provide the most informed advice and best healthcare achievable.
